The transfer portal has yet to open, but there’s already news for Memphis football.
The Tigers finished their season with a loss to NC State in the Gasparilla Bowl on Dec. 19. The NCAA transfer portal doesn’t open until Jan. 2, but Memphis players have already started to announce their intentions to enter it.
Major roster turnover is expected because the Tigers have a new coach in Charles Huff. He takes over for Ryan Silverfield, who left for Arkansas not longer after after Memphis’ regular-season finale against Navy. Coaching changes often lead to significant roster turnover.
