Ever since Lane Kiffin got to Baton Rouge to take over as the head coach of the LSU Tigers, it's been mostly wins for the program. However, Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes handed them one of their rare losses so far, this time on the recruiting trail.

On Wednesday evening, it was announced that 5-star edge rusher Jaiden Bryant was officially flipping his commitment from LSU to Miami. Bryant is ranked as the No. 20 overall player and No. 2 EDGE in the 2027 class. He had been committed to LSU since January 3 of this year, a little over a month after Kiffin took the job in Baton Rouge.

With the addition, Miami now has the No. 3 class in the 2027 cycle, and another massive recruiting flip to add to its resume. Earlier this spring, Cristobal and the Hurricanes flipped 5-star cornerback Donte Wright, the No. 10 player in the nation, away from the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Tigers took a major hit with the flip of Bryant, and they now have just the No. 61 class in the cycle. Of course, there is still a ton of time left before signing day, and Kiffin notoriously does a ton of his work in the transfer portal, but there is some ground to make up for the Tigers on the recruiting front.
