Miami linebacker Malik Bryant entered the NCAA transfer portal with a do-not-contact tag, On3 has learned. He spent three years with the program.

Bryant played in just four games this season, logging two tackles. He also only played four games a freshman in 2023.

However, Bryant played in 12 games in 2024, logging 17 tackles, five tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. Due to the do-not-contact, Bryant likely knows where he is going or at least has narrowed down his schools to a few options.

As a member of the Class of 2023, Bryant was a four-star recruit out of Orlando (Fla.) Jones, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking. He was the No. 42 overall prospect in the state, the No. 23 linebacker in the class and the No. 198 overall prospect in the class.

To keep up with the latest players on the move, check out On3’s Transfer Portal wire. The On3 Transfer Portal Instagram account and Twitter account are excellent resources to stay up to date with the latest moves.

Bryant was the latest defender to enter the portal from Miami. DL Artavius Jones also entered on Tuesday. He played the past two seasons with the Hurricanes, appearing in two games.

Jones played high school football for Blountstown (FL), where he was a four-star recruit in the 2024 cycle. He ranked as the No. 237 overall player and No. 24 defensive lineman according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services.

Miami is of course coming off of an appearance in the national championship, where it lost against Indiana on Monday. Hurricanes players who wish to enter the transfer portal have a five-day window to do so that began on Tuesday.
