The back of house in Ann Arbor is starting to get set, and Michigan football has announced a bevy of hires to roles behind the scenes.

While the 10-man coaching staff has long been set — finalized with the addition of defensive line coach Larry Black after Lou Esposito went to the Baltimore Ravens — most of the operations and recruiting staff had also been set, but not formally announced. But even as recently as this past weekend has seen some new and familiar faces join the fray.

On Tuesday, the Wolverines announced several holdovers from the previous staff in new roles, including former wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy as the new senior director of recruiting relations (essentially the director of player personnel role), Richard Perry and John Collins as the assistant directors of player personnel, and Tyler Markray and Lexi Hughes as the assistant directors of recruiting. Additionally, former USC on-campus recruiting staffer Skylar Phan has officially been announced as the new director of recruiting.

Additionally, Michigan announced on Tuesday that it has hired Chris Pettit, long with the New York Giants organization, as the assistant general manager, working with Dave Peloquin.

More on Pettit from Giants Wire:

Pettit spent 18 seasons with the Giants, joining as a scouting intern in 2004 and working his way up to area scout before his promotion to director of college scouting in 2018 under then-general manager Dave Gettleman. He contributed to the team's two Super Bowl championship rosters during his tenure and was known for his thorough evaluation of college prospects.

The maize and blue have also recently announced Dave Peloquin as the GM, Ben Redell as Kyle Whittingham's executive assistant, Evan Roka as assistant director of operations, Natalia Hilton as director of operations, and Alayna Williamson as chief of staff, with all having been in those roles for weeks, if not months, before the official announcements in the past two days.
