CHICAGO − At long last, Michigan football now knows when it will play its final regular season road game of the year.
The Wolverines (8-2, 6-1 Big Ten) travel to Maryland (4-6, 1-6 Big Ten) for the penultimate game of the 2025 season Saturday, Nov. 22, with kickoff scheduled at 4 p.m. on Big Ten Network, the league announced.
It always seemed a likely time slot for the matchup, given U-M played its Week 12 matchup against Northwestern at noon on Fox, not to mention the biggest game of the season, the finale against Ohio State, is also at noon on Fox.
Maryland has lost six consecutive games – coach Mike Locksley’s group hasn’t won since it started 4-0 in September.
Coach Sherrone Moore thanked Michigan fans who made the trip to Wrigley Field for the Wolverines’ 24-22 walk-off win over Northwestern on Saturday, and politely asked for as many fans to be able to make the trip to the DMV.
“Big shout-out to the Michigan family for coming out and supporting us in Chicago,” he said. “I thought there would be a good group showing of Michigan, but it was better than I thought. And they came, they were ready to go. They were pumped. They were loud. They were supportive.
“So, much appreciation. We’ll love that next week in the DMV in Maryland. If they can come down there and support us, too, that would be great.”
This is the first time this year Michigan will start a game at 4 p.m. It has kicked off in local times at 7:30, 6:30, 4:30, 2:30, noon and, most recently, 11 a.m.
An early look at the forecast shows it might not be a perfect day for football like it was in Chicago at 67 degrees and sunny, but it should be nice enough with a high of 60 degrees in College Park, and a chance of some morning showers.
