Michigan State DB listed as top returning CB in Big Ten by PFF

Michigan State football is going to have a new look in 2026 under new head coach Pat Fitzgerald. With the Spartans bringing in almost 30 transfers, a lot of new faces will be playing this upcoming fall.

One of those new faces is Tyran Chappell, a cornerback from Houston Christian University. The 6-foot-3 Denton (TX) native is coming in to MSU with three years of eligibility and eyeing a starting cornerback position.

Heading into the season, according to PFF College, Chappell is the top rated returning cornerback in the Big Ten conference, sporting an 86.2 grade.
