Michigan State released their official roster earlier this week, highlighting the additions to the program ahead of spring ball. While most of the additions were publicly accounted for, one new transfer went under the radar. The Spartans added Western Carolina defensive back transfer Trevaughn Martinez.
A 5-foot-10, 165 pound safety from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he has had an injury filled college career before heading to East Lansing. After redshirting in 2023, he missed 2024 and 2025 due to injury. Either way, the Spartans are lacking depth in the back end, and he will get the opportunity to compete in East Lansing.
Michigan State officially announces 30 transfers and 15 early enrollees are on campus this spring. All the players who put out announcements are on the list, as well as safety Trevaughn Martinez (Western Carolina).
