Michigan State football, under new head coach Pat Fitzgerald, has found their new Quarterbacks Coach. On Wednesday, Pete Thamel of ESPN reported that the Spartans are hiring the experienced John McNulty to coach their quarterbacks.
MSU had originally hired Mike Bajakian for the role, but he left two days ago to join the coaching staff for the Cleveland Browns.
McNulty heads to East Lansing with 35 years of coaching experience which, ironically, started back in 1991 with the University of Michigan as a graduate assistant. In his playing days, he was a walk-on safety at Penn State. As a coach, he has worked in several positions on the offensive side of the ball, both in college and the NFL, coaching wide receivers, tight ends, quarterbacks, and a few stints as offensive coordinator for Rutgers and Boston College.
