Michigan State Football Hosting Multiple QBs For Gameday Visits

Michigan State is preparing for a game on the field Saturday but off the field, the coaching staff will be hosting multiple quarterbacks as the recruiting board continues to grow.

The Spartans will have both Brayden Tillman (2028) and Will Smith (2029) in East Lansing this weekend as Michigan State hosts Nebraska.

Tillman is currently ranked as one of the top in-state quarterbacks in the 2028 class. From Traverse City, Michigan, Tillman is listed as the No. 8 overall player in Michigan and No. 22 quarterback in the nation, according to 247Sports.

Tillman currently holds offers from Florida State, Wisconsin, Purdue, Toledo, Miami (OH), Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, and Kent State. The D Zone was first to report his visit.

The Spartans will also get a jumpstart on the 2029 class. Smith announced that he will also be on campus this weekend.

The QB from Grand Rapids West Catholic is currently in his sophomore year where he has thrown for 807 yards and eight touchdowns in four games.

The Spartans continue to focus on business on the field in 2026 but have also been doing work to strengthen the roster for years to come. Spartan fans, how do we feel about the upcoming visits this weekend and beyond?
