Michigan State football has reportedly hired another offensive assistant coach to help out on the offensive line.
Corey Robinson of 247Sports reported on Saturday morning that Michigan State has hired Al Netter as Senior Offensive Analyst and Assistant Offensive Line Coach. Netter joins the Spartans staff after working at Stanford for the last three seasons.
Netter was the offensive line coach at Stanford from 2023 to 2025, and prior to that spent five seasons at Yale, where he served as offensive line coach, co-offensive coordinator, assistant head coach and run game coordinator.
Netter has a previous relationship with new Michigan State head coach Pat Fitzgerald because he played for him at Northwestern. He was on the Wildcats offensive line from 2008 to 2011, and played in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans.
