Michigan State football successfully flipped a commitment from Saginaw Valley State University on Wednesday. The Spartans are adding quarterback Peyton Babbitt to their quarterback room as a preferred walk-on, just days after offering the SVSU commit.
Babbitt was a star player at Orchard View High School in Muskegon and had offers out from Tiffin, Grand Valley State, and was, obviously, committed to Saginaw Valley State before flipping to the Spartans.
“Every kid who plays football has their ‘big’ program where they want to go and will die for, and it just happened to be MSU was that school for me,” Babbitt told 247Sports. “Now I have an opportunity to play there. It’s insane to think about.”
Babbitt will join another MHSAA star in the MSU quarterback room in incoming freshman Kayd Coffman.
