No. 20 Tennessee (6-3, 3-3 SEC) will host New Mexico State (3-6, 1-5 CUSA) Saturday at Neyland Stadium in Week 11 of the 2025 college football season.
Kickoff between the Vols and Aggies is slated for 4:15 p.m. EST. SEC Network will televise the contest, marking the first meeting between the two schools.
Saturday will feature two former Missouri offensive coordinators in Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and New Mexico State offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach David Yost.
Heupel served as Missouri’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2016-17 under head coach Barry Odom. He became head coach at UCF from 2018-20 before being hired at Tennessee.
Yost was an offensive assistant at Missouri under head coach Gary Pinkel from 2001-12, serving as quarterbacks coach (2001-08), offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach (2009-10) and assistant head coach and offensive coordinator (2011-12).
Yost began his coaching career at Tiffin from 1988-95. He was also an assistant coach at Toledo (1996-2000), Washington State (2013-15), Oregon (2016), Utah State (2017-18), Texas Tech (2019-2021) and FIU (2022-24).
Heupel and Yost have ties to Mike Leach. Leach was offensive coordinator at Oklahoma when Heupel was the Sooners’ quarterback in 1999. Yost served as Leach’s wide receivers coach at Washington State from 2013-15.
