The top-ranked player in Missouri in the Class of 2027 is staying home.
Missouri football got a commitment from blue-chip, in-state tight end Jack Brown on Tuesday, the player confirmed via a post to his social media. Brown is a four-star tight end at Francis Howell High, which is where two current Missouri tight ends, Brett Norfleet and Jude James, also graduated from.
The news was first reported by On3/Rivals recruiting insider Hayes Fawcett.

Brown is the fourth player to commit to Mizzou’s Class of 2027. He is currently rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 player in the state of Missouri in this recruiting cycle.
Mizzou also has commitments from three-star quarterback Braylen Warren, three-star offensive tackle Lual Aleu and three-star East St. Louis safety Jabarri Lofton in the 2027 class.
Brown is the No. 100 player nationally in 247Sports’ composite rankings. Listed at 6-foot-5, he is the No. 5-ranked tight end.
He had offers from more than 25 Power-conference schools, including more than half of the teams in the SEC.
Mizzou is one of four SEC teams with four or more commitments in its Class of 2027. It’s extremely early in this cycle, but that gives Mizzou’s next class a No. 23 national ranking at this point.
