Missouri vs Mississippi State football Game Week: info, where to watch, predictions

Of all the teams in the SEC I enjoy playing the least, Mississippi State is probably right there at the top of the list. No offense to the fans of the Bulldogs, or the fine people of Starkville. There’s just very little to no interest or history in this matchup. They also don’t carry the aura of a lot of other SEC programs, and for the biggest part of Mizzou’s time in the SEC, State was playing in the SEC West. So it’s hard to get interested in facing State.
In the old SEC West, the schools were Alabam, Arkansas, Auburn, A&M, LSU, Ole Miss and MSU. So in the context of the league, I just feel incredibly indifferent to the Mississippi schools.
That said, you still want to beat them! And since joining the SEC the Tigers and Bulldogs have only faced each other three times: 2015 (L), 2020 (L), 2024 (W). Only one of those games was in Columbia, and it was the first one in 2015. Things were going poorly for Mizzou that year, and MSU had Dak Prescott and one of their three or four best teams this millenia.
Then last year State was way down. They only won 2 games, and Missouri just sort of walked all over them. This State club is better. They’re still only 1-5 in SEC play, but they’ve been right there in losses against Tennessee, Florida, and Texas.
