Elite defensive back recruit MJ Burnette has planned out the rest of his recruiting process. Burnette, a three-star safety recruit in the class of 2027, plans to take three official visits before announcing his commitment on July 4.

The talented defensive back plans to announce his commitment after visiting the Georgia Bulldogs (June 19-21), Alabama Crimson Tide (June 5-7) and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (May 29-31). Coach Kirby Smart and Georgia are set to have the last opportunity to make a pitch for the three-star.

Burnette plays high school football for Walton High School in Marietta, Georgia. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound safety also plays wide receiver for Walton. Burnette has excellent height and often wins jump balls over opposing receivers. Burnette has good speed and is a ball hawk.

The Walton star is ranked as a top-500 recruit in the country. Burnette is the No. 57 recruit in Georgia and the No. 47 cornerback nationally. 247Sports projects him as a cornerback at the next level, but Burnette's highlights showed him pretty much only playing safety or receiver during his junior season. However, his length would be useful at cornerback.

MJ Burnette is the son of former Green Bay Packers defensive back Morgan Burnette, who played college football at Georgia Tech. Morgan Burnette was NFL teammates with former Alabama safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, who is now the Crimson Tide's director of player development.
