Happy Monday Dawg fans, and welcome to today’s Dots.

Fall practices are gathering steam as the Dawgs had their first competitive practice yesterday.

The most newsy news was the return of defensive lineman Ta’ita’i Uiagalelei, who received an extra year of eligibility through the recent ‘five-in-five’ ruling.

Christian Caple reports that Uiagalelei “led UW interior defensive linemen with 492 snaps in 2025, finishing with 20 tackles, two sacks and four tackles for loss”.

I think the significance of Uiagalelei returning is big. You can never have too many experienced bodies on the D Line. Expecially as it has been the least eye-popping position group in recent years.

  • Caple’s “injury/limited” update explains that “In addition to Landen and Geirean Hatchett, the following players appeared limited in some capacity: RB Jayden Limar, RB Trey Cooley, RB Ansu Sanoe, TE Kade Eldridge, TE Kekua Aumua, CB Dylan Robinson, EDGE Isaiah Ward, LB Jacob Manu, DL Ta’a Malu, OL Ah Deong Yang, DL Kai McClendon, and S Paul Mencke Jr.”

Kicking game, kicking game, kicking game..

I count 27 days until the Apple Cup. For fun, let’s multiply 27 x 2 (for UW’s two National Championships) == So now our number is 54. Behold:

Go Dawgs!!
