Shortly after releasing a new single and signing another endorsement deal with Zevia, the Bronx rapper with four diamond singles continues to add to her endorsement portfolio.
The endorsements keep coming for Cardi B.
Fresh off the release of her “AH HA” single, the Bronx rapper is among the faces of the clothing brand’s fall campaign, which pays homage to classic, relaxed fits of yesteryear while mixing in modern trends and distinguished silhouettes.
The commercial, which features Paloma Elsesser, Brooks Nader, Haley Baylee, Wisdom Kaye, and Quen Backwell, is a full-circle moment for Cardi, who says she grew up on the brand well before she became one of the biggest-selling rap artists of all time and one of the most visible celebrities in the world.
“I grew up shopping at Old Navy! I remember my mom would always get our 4th of July outfits from there, she took it very seriously! So being part of this campaign felt natural to me, it felt like a full circle moment!” Cardi B said about joining Old Navy’s fall campaign. “Old Navy is one of those brands that’s been around forever! You can always walk in and find something cute, something for your body type, something that makes you feel good, and doesn’t break the bank!”
True to her outspoken and bubbly personality, the commercial plays up her energy with her essentially taking over the shoot and reminding viewers that the stars of the show aren’t exactly the celebrities, but the jeans and denim fits they’re wearing.
Old Navy’s Fall Denim Collection includes a new denim style called The Arc, featuring a mid-rise fit and a curved-leg silhouette for a fresh take on relaxed denim.
Recently, Cardi added another brand to her expanding endorsement portfolio. Starring in commercials for Zevia, Cardi appears as the “real talk” interpreter in two separate moments: one involving a teacher and a school guidance counselor and once between two women at a potluck, showing that even being “mean nice” can become a little “too real” for some people. In each, Cardi can be found sipping from a Zevia can, showing there’s no sugar coating with her, or the brand.
“Let me tell you something, I’m always going to say exactly what’s on my mind, and that’s why Zevia and I are perfect for one another,” Cardi said of their partnership. “Zevia keeps it real with the ingredients, and I’ve never been one to bite my tongue. With ‘Real Talk Interpreter,’ we’re bringing that same energy to everyday moments and saying what everyone is really thinking.”
