Bowl season is not officially over, but Mountain West Football is done for the season. With that being said, each year we take a look at each Mountain West bowl game and come up with our top performers from each Mountain West bowl game. Now that those games are over, let’s take a look at the top performers from Mountain West teams this bowl season.
Offense
Quarterback: Micah Alejado (Hawaii), 32/46 274 yards and 3 touchdowns
Running Back: Bert Emanuel Jr. (San Diego State), I know he’s technically a quarterback but he ran for 170 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Running Back: Christian Washington (San Diego State), 10 carries for 77 yards and a touchdown.
Wide Receiver: Pofele Ashlock (Hawaii), 14 catches for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns
Wide Receiver: Josiah Freeman (Fresno State), 7 catches for 143 yards
Wide Receiver: Brady Boyd (Utah State), 4 catches for 99 yards and a touchdown
Tight End: Matt Lauter (Boise State), 5 catches for 37 yards and a touchdown
Offensive Line Unit: Hawaii, Alejado wasn’t sacked the entire game and they averaged 4 yards per carry.
Defense
Defensive Line: Jahzon Jacks (Fresno State) 4 tackles and a sack
Defensive Line: Jayden Virgin-Morgan (Boise State), 4 tackles, 3 TFL, 2 sacks
Defensive Line: Sterling Lane II (Boise State), 3 tackles, 2 sacks
Defensive Line: Dimitri Johnson (New Mexico), 6 tackles and a sack
Linebacker: Marco Notarinni (Boise State), 8 tackles and 1 TFL
Linebacker: Marsel McDuffie (UNLV), 9 tackles and a fumble recovery
Linebacker: DJ Herman (San Diego State), 8 tackles
Secondary: Jakari Embry (Fresno State), Interception and 2 tackles
