Mountaintop View 12-1-25. UNLV vs Boise State in the Championship, Jason Eck

It’s Monday, and the regular season is over! Catch up on the action and get ready for Championship Weekend! News will continue to come your way, and we are here for it all. Check out our original coverage and what we can find from the World Wide Web below.

Lobos tame Aztecs.

This was an instant classic. Both teams came in playing good football, but San Diego State’s lack of offense finally caught up with them. New Mexico played tough on both sides of the ball, forcing two turnovers and scoring just enough. The game went into overtime and the Lobos were able to find the endzone on a passing touchdown to complete the win at home. What a season for New Mexico!

Broncos overtake Aggies late.

To start the year, Boise State was inconsistent on offense, struggled to tackle, and committed some dumb penalties. All of these things were still on display in the regular season finale, but somehow they found a way to win this game. Utah State came out strong, playing aggressively and taking advantage of every close call or BSU miscue. But the Broncos hung around, and their defense kept getting stops, buying some time for their offense to get a late score to take the lead and eventually win the game.

Rebels keep the canon in a blowout.

UNLV has been on the right side of this rivalry for a while now, and this game was no different. They came out aggressive on both sides of the ball and led 28-3 at halftime. The defense recovered two fumbles while the offense was balanced, putting up 270 yards through the air and 226 on the ground. This big win put them in a great position for the MW Championship.

Rainbow Warriors top Cowboys.

Hawaii bounced back this week, although it didn’t amount to much in the big picture. Still, they beat up on a struggling Wyoming team, putting up points in the first three quarters to put this game out of reach early. The Rainbow Warrior defense also took advantage of a struggling Wyoming team, holding them to a lone touchdown all game. It’s a tale of two teams going in opposite directions in 2025.

Eck rewarded with a new contract.

Broncos & Rebels meet once again in the Mountain West Championship Game.
