Lobos lose a thriller in OT.

New Mexico’s remarkable season came to an unfortunate end, with an overtime loss to Minnesota. The Lobos followed the script they have for much of the season in this game. They played hard, with the offense moving the ball in a few different ways, including some trick plays. The defense hung tough against bigger players, forcing a fumble and holding the Golden Gophers to just 105 rushing yards. But they could only score one touchdown, settlign for field goals too often, and couldn’t hold Minnesota back in overtime.

Bulldogs prevail in Arizona Bowl.

If you liked defense and field goals, this game was for you. After allowing an early field goal to the Redhawks, the Bulldogs scored 18 unanswered points, with a single touchdown in the fourth quarter. Otherwise, it was kicker Dylan Lynch and four FGs that did much of the scoring. The Fresno State defense was also a big story, holding Miami (OH) under 200 total yards and a mere 72 passing yards.

Aztecs battle, comeback falls short.

The vaunted Aztec defense was nowhere to be found in this one, letting up 49 points and 615 total yards. However, the team kept fighting. Backup QB Bert Emanuel Jr was great, using his legs to put up 170 yards and two scores with his legs, but left the game with an injury. They played most of the second half with third-string Kyle Crum at QB.

Colorado is targeting Lobo’s AD.

Colorado is targeting New Mexico AD Fernando Lovo in its athletic director search, sources tell @YahooSports. No deal is finalized and UC Board of Regents must authorize any move.
Lovo spent the last year at UNM after stints at Texas, Ohio State and Houston.

Rebels lose Colandrea

NEWS: UNLV QB Anthony Colandrea intends to enter the NCAA transfer portal, he tells ESPN. He threw for 3,459 yards last year at UNLV and won Mountain West Player of the year. He accounted for 23 passing touchdowns and 10 rushing for the Rebels. pic.twitter.com/wz1tLkNtjF
