It’s Monday, and we are in the full swing of the summer offseason. That being said, football preview posts are ramping up. As always, our coverage is still going strong. Check out our original coverage and what we can find from the World Wide Web below.

Washington State Preview

The Cougars are next up in this series, looking at the team Kirby Moore is putting together for his first season. Looking at the offense, they will have a productive FCS transfer stepping in at quarterback and return their leading rusher, plus most of their OL, which should lead to a balanced attack. However, they are rebuilding the WR room and need to get better on third down. For the defense, it’s a unit with mostly newcomers. The pass rush figures to be strong, as will the secondary, but the linebackers might need more time to come along. It will be a tough first month for Washington State, but this publication thinks they get to 6 wins.

Mountain West 2025-2026 Attendance Leaders

Chris Murray is going through his usual offseason content, with this one looking at total sports attendance from the past athletic year. New Mexico made a huge jump into the top spot, increasing by about 60,000 fans, followed by the Broncos who decreased a bit. That starts a run of departing schools, with Colorado State, SDSU and Fresno State in spots 3-5 before UNLV comes in. Nevada is right behind them, and the list continues down to SJSU, which dropped 40,000 to widen the gap between them and everyone else. Overall, the conference saw an increase of a bit over 50,000 fans among all the teams.

2027 College Football HOF Ballot

Last week saw the release of the 2027 CFB HOF Ballot, and there are quite a few Mountain West and Pac-12 connections. The biggest ones are Mike Leach, the former Washington State coach, and BSU QB Kellen Moore, who should’ve been in years ago. Other names are: Bernard Berrian (Fresno State), Marcus Harris (Wyoming), Ryan Leaf (Washington State), Andy Levitre (Oregon State), Carlton McDonald (Air Force), Dennis Franchione (Texas State, New Mexico), Darryl Rogers (Fresno State, San Jose State), and Jackie Sherrill (Washington State).

Athlon Mountain West Predictions

Athlon put out their MW predictions as well last week, going with UNLV over New Mexico in the conference championship. They are also high on Hawaii, putting them third in the conference, followed by newcomers North Dakota State, who are expected to compete making the jump to the FBS level. Air Force and Wyoming will be the middle of the pack as bowl game hopefuls and Nevada makes a nice jump to 7th. San Jose State is projected to fall, with other new teams UTEP and NIU bringing up the rear.

Video Game Updates

Now that NCAA is back with annual releases, we can look at annual updates to the game. For the 2027 version, North Dakota State is in! Also, expect big changes to dynasty mode, with NIL and program budgets entering the fold. Also, there will be more of a focus on coaching turnover, new positions in Glory Road, more in-game strategy, and more.
