Michigan State football has extended an offer to an elite, top 100 player in the 2028 class.
Carter Barrett of West Des Moines, Iowa announced on Wednesday that he's received an offer from the Spartans. Barrett — who is an offensive tackle prospect in the 2028 class — announced the offer from the Spartans by posting on his social media X account.
Barrett is listed as a four-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 93.06 in 247Sports' composite system. He ranks as the No. 10 offensive tackle and No. 99 overall prospect in the 2028 class.
Michigan State is now one of nearly 20 schools to offer Barrett, according to 247Sports. He also holds notable offers from Alabama, Iowa, Arkansas, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Wisconsin.
