Michigan State football is reportedly nearing the hiring of its next offensive coordinator.
Matt Zenitz of 247Sports reported on Saturday that Michigan State is "expected" to hire Alabama co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan as its next offensive coordinator. Per Zenitz, Michigan State insiders Corey Robinson and Justin Thind contributed to this report.
Sheridan is an ex-Michigan Wolverines quarterback with extensive experience in coaching. He has spent the last four seasons working with Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer at Alabama and Washington. Sheridan also previously worked at Indiana as their offensive coordinator for two seasons.
