An under-the-radar in-state wide receiver prospect with power four interest will be visiting Michigan State on Tuesday.
Jace Cummings of Grand Rapids, Mich. announced last weekend that he'll be visiting Michigan State on Tuesday. According to a social media post from Cummings, he'll be in East Lansing for one of the Spartans' prospect camps.
Cummings is listed as a three-star wide receiver, with a recruiting rating of 85 on Rivals. He ranks as the No. 211 wide receiver and No. 27 player from Michigan in Rivals' industry rankings for the 2027 class.
Michigan State has not yet extended an offer to Cummings, but he does hold an offer from Boston College out of the ACC. He also has an offer from Western Illinois of the FCS level, according to Rivals.
At 6-foot-5 and 192 pounds, Cummings has the framework to potentially move to tight end at the Big Ten level. It'll be interesting, though, to see if anything transpires out of his camp visit and if he can pick up an offer from the Spartans' coaching staff.
