Michigan State football is reportedly trending for a running back prospect that holds offers from some of the top programs in the country.

Corey Robinson of 247Sports has submitted a crystal ball prediction in favor of the Spartans for three-star running back Caleb Mattison of Jacksonville, Fla. The prediction from Robinson reportedly comes after a recent strong visit to Michigan State for Mattison.

Mattison holds a recruiting rating of 86 in 247Sports' system. He also ranks as the No. 73 running back and No. 984 overall prospect in the class.

While his rankings in the class don't necessarily standout, the long list of big-time programs to show interest in Mattison is eye popping. According to 247Sports, he holds offers from 60 programs — which includes the likes of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Kentucky, LSU, Louisville, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas Tech, USC and Washington.

Michigan State is one of two schools that have official visits lined up with Mattison in the summer, according to 247Sports. He will visit Michigan State on May 29 and then visit UConn a few weeks later on June 12.
