Nation's No. 5 IOL announces commitment to Big Ten program

Four-star interior offensive lineman Jordan Agbanoma has committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett. The Georgia Bulldogs were considered a contended for the talented lineman until a final decision was reached, but Agbanoma has decided to play for the Cornhuskers in 2027. 

Agbanoma was a highly sought after recruit who drew interest from a plethora of SEC programs. Standing at 6-foot-4, 320 pounds, he is an athletic and versatile big man who would have emerged as an excellent fit on the Dawgs’ offensive line next season. Agbanoma’s top four schools included Georgia, Texas A&M, Florida and Nebraska, as the rising star has decided to play in the Big Ten to the surprise of many. 

Agbanoma is considered as one of the top overall lineman from the class of 2027. He is ranked as the No. 5 IOL and the No. 80 overall player from his class, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Agbanoma has been excellent at Grayson High School (Loganville, Georgia) and he is ranked as the No.  7 player out of Georgia as a result. 

Georgia has targeted some of the top talent from the 2027 class throughout May. Elite defensive lineman Waylon Wooten is predicted to commit to Georgia in the near future, while the Dawgs are expected to land four-star safety Adryan Cole as well.
