Navy Students Loved Sideline Reporter Jenny Dell's Outfit Saturday

CBS sideline reporter Jenny Dell was at M&T Bank Stadium last Saturday to cover the annual Army-Navy game.

Navy defeated Army 17-16 thanks to a fourth-quarter touchdown pass from Blake Horvath to Eli Heidenreich. It was only fitting that Navy's all-time single-season leader in receiving yards made the game-changing play for the Midshipmen.

"Who wouldn't go to him?" Horvath said after the win. "Talk about an all-time Navy legend. You're going to be talking about Eli Heidenreich for years and years and years."

As you'd imagine, Dell enjoyed her time at the Army-Navy game this year. In fact, her sideline outfit and infectious personality was a huge hit with the student section.

During this past Saturday's game, the Navy chanted Dell's name as she was reporting from the sideline. It was a pretty awesome moment for her.

"The chant started during my halftime report," Dell wrote on Instagram. "The sweetest!"

Jenny Dell is a fan favorite at CBS.

CBS Sports added Dell to its talented roster of reporters in 2014. She started her career in sports media as a production assistant at ESPN, covering the NBA, MLB, NFL and WNBA. The University of Massachusetts graduate then became a Boston Red Sox reporter for NESN.

"From 2016-21, Dell hosted Campus Eats on Big Ten Network, which provides a first-hand look at the unique and iconic restaurants found across Big Ten Country," her bio for Paramount states. "Prior to joining CBS Sports, Dell served as a reporter for New England Sports Network’s coverage of the Boston Red Sox, delivering in-game reports, as well as news, updates and interviews for the NESN’s pre- and post-game coverage. She also served as a reporter for NESN Sports Today, and hosted The Ultimate Red Sox Show and Red Sox Report. Dell served as NESN’s lead reporter for the team’s World Series Champion season in 2013."

Dell is expected to cover the Sun Bowl between Arizona State and Duke on Dec. 31. As always, she'll work alongside Brad Nessler and Gary Danielson.
