SOUTH BEND — The University of Notre Dame has announced its plan to host the 95th edition of the Blue-Gold Game this spring.

Set for Saturday, April 25, at 2 p.m., the Fighting Irish will open Notre Dame Stadium for an intersquad scrimmage. The game will also be broadcast on Peacock. Tickets start at $10.

Notre Dame is coming off a 10-2 season, the third-consecutive double-digit winning campaign under head coach Marcus Freeman. The Fighting Irish were notably left out of the College Football Playoff, dropping two spots in the final rankings. The players then declined a bowl game invitation, ending the season earlier than expected.

Freeman, 40, will enter into his fifth season with the Irish with a coaching career record of 43-12.

Several returning faces will be joined by the Irish's highly-touted freshman recruiting class as well as transfer portal acquisitions.

The Fighting Irish bring back Heisman-contending quarterback CJ Carr for his sophomore season and will also retain wide receivers Jordan Faison and Jaden Greathouse. Running backs Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price have exited for the NFL Draft as possible first-round picks, but third-string back Aneyas Williams should fill that hole nicely.

Notre Dame lost 19 players to the transfer portal, including backup quarterback Kenny Minchey. Minchey landed at Kentucky. While most of the departing players saw little time on the field in 2025, the Fighting Irish did get quite the haul in return.

Former Ohio State wide receivers Quincy Porter and Mylan Graham have joined Mike Brown's group in South Bend while former ND-commit and defensive end Keon Keeley travels up from Alabama.

Other portal additions include cornerbacks Jayden Sanders (Michigan) and DJ McKinney (Colorado), defensive lineman Tionne Gray (Oregon), defensive tackle Francis Brewu (Pittsburgh) and kicker Spencer Porath (Purdue).
