Nebraska class of 2026 quarterback Dayton Raiola decommitted from the program on Wednesday morning.

Raiola is the 99th overall quarterback in the 2026 class, and the 158th overall player in his class from the state of Georgia per the Rivals industry rankings. He is the brother of current Huskers quarterback Dylan Raiola and the nephew of current Huskers offensive line coach Donovan Raiola.

The younger Raiola was one of the first commitments for the 2026 recruiting class. He committed to the program last September, after receiving an offer in October 2022.

This certainly shakes up the quarterback room as signing day approaches. One has to wonder what the direction of the quarterback room will be as some of the young pieces continue to develop. This decision may gain more clarity in the post-Dylan Raiola era, with a talented quarterback room for the future.
