Nebraska Cornhusker News: Volleyball and football continue undefeated seasons

For most of the summer those of us in the agriculture community have been praying for rain as the drought baked crops, gardens and livestock. In September, we got way more rain than we needed and now there are reports of corn and soybeans either rotting or sprouting while still on the stalk. Mother Nature never gives us average.

Neither does Husker football. The first two quarters against Maryland were similar to this summer’s drought prayers – can we pleeeeeease just have a little bit of competent football?? Then the second half was like the dam burst and Nebraska buried the Terrapins under a flood headed up by Dwayne McDougle and Anthony Coleandra.

Now, let’s hope things aren’t all rotten and squishy next week vs the Hoosiers.
