A former JUCO star is flipping his commitment after initially settling on Nebraska. Iowa Western Community College defensive lineman Andy Burburija flipped his commitment from Nebraska to Clemson on Monday.

Burburija decided on Clemson after committing to Nebraska last week. He received offers from both Clemson and Nebraska two weeks ago, after decommitting from Kansas State in late December. Burburija committed to Kansas State after flipping from Washington State following two strong seasons at Iowa Western.

The 6-foot-3, 295-pounder produced 78 tackles and 14 sacks in his two seasons. He especially delivered during his sophomore year, racking up 45 tackles and 11 sacks. Burburija is the No. 61 prospect and a top-10 defensive lineman, according to Rivals’ 2026 JUCO rankings.

Burburija now joins a Clemson team that finished 7-6 on the season, produced 35 sacks and held opponents to 105.5 rushing yards per game. The Tigers also produced two defensive linemen who recorded five or more sacks.
