Nebraska Cornhuskers fans are taking their passion for the team to new heights and snapping up game-used urinal troughs from Memorial Stadium for $3,000 each.
The troughs' sale comes as Nebraska’s iconic home football field in Lincoln prepares for a major renovation. The "Big Red Rebuild" project will begin immediately after the conclusion of the 2026-27 football season and aims to be completed in time for the kickoff of the 2028 season.
Each urinal trough weighs about 300 pounds and is original to the 103-year-old stadium. To reassure buyers, the university has confirmed that it will thoroughly clean all items before delivery at the end of the season.
Joe DiPietro, co-founder of Rare Goods, the company collaborating with Nebraska on the sales campaign, told The Athletic that seven of the thirty available urinals had already been purchased.
“This is arguably the most iconic piece of memorabilia we’ve ever offered,” DiPietro said in a video. “Throughout the stadium, fans will find signs featuring QR codes, allowing them to browse and purchase available items.”
The Cornhuskers aren't the first team to sell stadium urinals. The Buffalo Bills, for example, sold urinal troughs from their old Highmark Stadium after they transitioned to their new facility.
In addition to the urinals, Nebraska fans can also purchase a variety of other memorabilia, including several types of restroom signs, stadium seats, art, and benches crafted from reclaimed Memorial Stadium wood.
Every item sold on buygbr.com comes with a certificate of authenticity from the university, detailing where each piece was originally located in Memorial Stadium and ensuring buyers own a genuine slice of Cornhuskers history.
