Nebraska football was named a finalist for 2027 four-star linebacker Tate Wallace. He announced his final six earlier this week. Minnesota, Notre Dame, Arizona State, Arizona, and Wisconsin also made the cut.
Wallace is the 27th overall linebacker in the 2027 class and the second overall player in his class from the state of Iowa, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.
The recruit has had a busy visit schedule. He first visited Notre Dame on March 25 for an official visit. He then followed up with a visit to Wisconsin on April 9 and a visit to Kansas State on April 21. He is set to take an official visit to Minnesota on May 29.
Wallace would be a very strong defensive addition for a talented 2027 recruiting class. The class itself ranks 13th in the country according to the Rivals Team Rankings. There are eight commitments in the Huskers' 2027 class overall.
This will be an interesting recruitment to monitor. Minnesota is always a tough school to guard against in recruiting, due to their proximity. The Huskers have done a tremendous job of acquiring talent in the 2027 class, and Wallace would be another name to add to it.
