Nebraska offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen is sharing his thoughts about the team’s new offensive line coach. Geep Wade is joining the Huskers following the 2025 regular season.

Wade just finished his third season with Georgia Tech. The Huskers bring in Wade following the dismissal of Donovan Raiola. Raiola was fired after four seasons with Nebraska.

The Yellowjackets averaged 33.1 points per game, 466.3 yards per game, and 7.1 yards per play. The team’s strength was its running game, averaging 203 rushing yards per game.

Holorsen discussed Wade’s coaching history and how he fits into Nebraska’s offense moving forward.

“I didn’t know him and so I looked at his body of work at Georgia Tech which was impressive. Coach Rhule has a history with him, Satt (Marcus Satterfield) has a history with him and so he was comfortable coming in. I’ve competed with him back when he was at Marshall and I just think he’s a really good teacher and his body of work from Georgia Tech was impressive to me, and then having Coach Rhule and Satt sign off on him as a teacher, as an individual, as a human. As far as the fit, I trust what those guys say as far as what the fit is going to be and I think we’ve had a great week-and-a-half and I think we’re going to work together really good.”

In terms of pass protection, Georgia Tech allowed only nine sacks for the year. The Yellowjackets allowed the fewest sacks in the ACC in each of the last three seasons.

Nebraska will face Utah in the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 31. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
