A Nebraska running back received a weekly conference honor on Monday. Emmett Johnson was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week after recording 232 yards from scrimmage in Nebraska’s 28-21 victory over UCLA.

Johnson ran for 129 yards and a touchdown while adding 103 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He’s the first Husker running back with 100 rushing and 100 receiving yards in the same game.

The running back became the first player in the Big Ten since 1995 to have more than 125 rushing yards, more than 100 receiving yards, a rushing touchdown and two receiving touchdowns in the same game. He’s the first Husker named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week since running back Anthony Grant in 2022.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers (7-3, 4-3) retake the field on Saturday, Nov. 22, when they travel to Pennsylvania to face the Penn State Nittany Lions (3-6, 0-6) in Happy Valley. The kickoff time and TV network have not yet been determined.
