A Nebraska Cornhusker has received another postseason honor. Running back Emmett Johnson was named a second-team All-American by USA TODAY Sports.
Johnson had 251 carries for 1.451 yards and 12 touchdowns. He averaged 5.8 yards per carry. He also had 46 catches for 370 yards, bringing his all-purpose yards total to 1,821 yards.
The running back ran for 2,460 yards and 15 touchdowns across 37 games. He also had 702 receiving yards for five touchdowns.
This postseason honor is one of several that the Minnesota native has won this year. He’s already won the Big Ten Running Back of the Year award and was named a first-team All-Big Ten.
Johnson will not participate in Nebraska’s bowl game. On Dec. 5, he declared for the 2026 NFL draft. The Huskers will play the Utah Utes in the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 31 at 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
