Newest Pac-12 members are Northern Colorado and Air Force (kind of)

The Pac-12 has planted its flag in Greeley.

That's right, the University Northern Colorado is Pac-12-bound.

Really.

Kind of.

The Pac-12 announced April 1 that Northern Colorado and Air Force (along with North Dakota State and South Dakota State) are joining as affiliate members for wrestling.

Those four will join Northern Illinois as new members of Pac-12 Wrestling next season. The Pac-12 also has Oregon State, Bakersfield, Cal Poly and Little Rock as wrestling members.

Programs often join other leagues as affiliate members in sports their main conference doesn't offer.

Northern Colorado is a Big Sky member but the league doesn't offer wrestling. Air Force is remaining in the Mountain West, which also doesn't have wrestling.

Former Windsor four-time champ and Northern Colorado wrestler Dominick Serrano, left, during the 2026 NCAA DI Wrestling Championships.

Colorado State is one of the full members of the new Pac-12 but it doesn't have a wrestling program.
