Next 6 years set for Vrbo Fiesta Bowl dates in College Football Playoff

We now have the dates for the next six years' worth of the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl as part of the College Football Playoff.

The Fiesta Bowl will host four CFP quarterfinal games and two CFP semifinals, all at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.

The quarterfinal matchups are on or around New Year’s Day; the semifinal contests will have early January dates.

There is no College Football Playoff national title game on the books for Arizona at this time.

This season's Fiesta Bowl is Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. MST.

“The Fiesta Bowl has been a meaningful part of the college football postseason for decades, so it’s great to know the journey to becoming CFP national champions will come through Arizona for at least the next six years,” Fiesta Bowl executive director and CEO Erik Moses said in a news release.

“We invite college football fans in Arizona and across the country to experience unforgettable playoff action in person every season, as two of the nation’s best teams battle with the highest of stakes on the line. There’s no better place for visitors to celebrate the new year than Arizona, where fans will enjoy elite college football, warm weather, world-class golf and attractions that can create lifetime memories.”

Dates for the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl over the next six years are below:

2026-27: CFP quarterfinal – Wednesday, December 30, 2026 (Ticket deposits may be placed at FiestaSportsFoundation.org/Tickets.)

2027-28: CFP quarterfinal – Saturday, Jan. 1, 2028

2028-29: CFP semifinal – Thursday, Jan. 11, 2029

2029-30: CFP quarterfinal – Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2030

2030-31: CFP quarterfinal – Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2031

2031-32: CFP semifinal – Thursday, Jan. 8, 2032

This past season’s matchup featured No. 10 Miami defeating No. 6 Ole Miss, 31-26, in a CFP semifinal at State Farm Stadium.
