Heading into their clash versus #18 Michigan at Wrigley Field this Saturday, Northwestern head coach David Braun had the highest of praise for his opponent.

Asked specifically about Wolverines safety Rod Moore, edge rusher Derrick Moore and linebacker Jaishawn Barham,  Braun said: "ultimately, there's a lot of good football players on that Michigan team that can be really disruptive.

"But those three specifically: High, high-end Big Ten football players that have bright futures ahead of them."

While Barham and Derrick Moore played against Northwestern, Rod Moore did not, due to injury. And that continued a very unfortunate trend for Rod Moore this season, as he's only seen action in three of Michigan's 10 games this season.

He has been very productive when he's played, however, registering six tackles and an interception in the 24-10 win over Wisconsin.

After celebrating the 2023 National Championship with his Michigan teammates, Moore announced that he would return to Ann Arbor for his senior season. With that announcement, Pro Football Focus named him the best safety in college football to forgo the 2024 NFL Draft.

Unfortunately, he tore his ACL in spring practice and then missed the entire '24 season. Thus, his 2025 season is all about, first and foremost, showing that he is durable enough to stay healthy, as that's the key to his draft stock.

So far, there hasn't been enough of that.

However, there is still no reason that he can't live up to his current draft grade of a late-second rounder, early third-rounder. With a strong showing in the predraft process, he could be one of the first 10 DBs off the boards.
