Nick Saban Career News Emerges Before College Football Playoff

Nick Saban is widely regarded as one of the biggest names in college football, having retired as a seven-time national championship winning head coach.

Saban retired from college football after years leading the Alabama Crimson Tide. He also spent viable years with the Michigan State Spartans and LSU Tigers.

While Saban is known for his prowess on the sideline and football knowledge, he’s also dipped his skillset into several other business opportunities outside of the white lines.

This time this type of news doesn’t feature an ESPN “College GameDay” announcement or another car dealership that Saban partnered with.

Saban has purchased a minority stake in the NHL‘s Nashville Predators.

The team announced the news on social media, sharing that Nick Saban has made the career move in partnership with Joe Agresti.

“Smashville just got that much better,” posted the official social media account of the Nashville Predators. “Nick Saban and partner Joe Agresti have joined the #Preds ownership group via Dream Sports Ventures LLC with a minority stake in the franchise.”

The Predators are owned by a majority stake from Bill Haslam who’s connected with the Predators Holdings LLC and is then former governor of Tennessee.

As Nick Saban embarks on this new mission in the NHL, he will work toward the end the college football season while on the panel of ESPN’s “College GameDay.”

Saban will be covering the College Football Playoff live from various locations, alongside Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Rece Davis and Pat McAfee.
