Legendary Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban had high praise for the Georgia Bulldogs.

“I think Georgia is one of the most complete teams in the country,” Saban said on The Pat McAfee Show on Friday. “I know they haven’t been tested, but they haven’t been behind, they’ve dominated the competition, which that’s hard to do sometimes when you’re supposed to win and you go out and win like you’re supposed to. And they’ve been able to do that.”

The Bulldogs are led by head coach Kirby Smart, who was a longtime assistant at Alabama under Saban. Since Smart took over, he’s made the Bulldogs a perennial contender, and they once again look like a national title contender.

Georgia is off to a 5-0 start with notable wins over Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, and Arkansas among others. But, the game against Alabama will be its toughest test this season.
Nick Saban Believes It’ll be Hard to Beat Georgia
Although Georgia hasn’t faced a top-ranked opponent, they are looking like legit title contenders.
The defense has been stellar, while the offense, led by quarterback Gunner Stockton, can put up points in a hurry. So, Saban knows a team will have to play a complete 60 minutes to beat the Bulldogs.
“How they’ll fare against a little better competition, look, I think teams that have success and have won championships, they’re never gonna say die,” Saban said. “They’re gonna compete in the game for 60 minutes. There may be some adversity for them in the game, but they’re gonna keep playing.”
“Whoever’s going to beat them is going to have to play for 60 minutes to do it with the same kind of temperament and attitude to play a complete game.”
Alabama does have the talent and skill to make this game interesting and potentially hand Georgia its first loss of the season. The Bulldogs haven’t won in Tuscaloosa since 2007, as it is a hard place to play, even for an elite team like Georgia.
The Bulldogs are 1.5-point underdogs on the road against Alabama on Saturday night.
