Florida State just had a plethora of prospects on campus for the Legacy Weekend. Amongst them was four-star edge Abram Sesay, but this was a special trip for him.
It was the first time that Sesay got an opportunity to visit FSU since they offered him a scholarship back in December. According to the 6-foot-5, 230-pounder, it was worth the wait.
"It was amazing," Sesay told Noles247. "Florida State has an amazing campus, amazing tradition, amazing history. So it was good to finally get down and see it in-person."
Sesay narrowed his choices to six schools back in February. Florida State made the cut along with Notre Dame, Penn State, Miami, Duke, and South Carolina. They have a great shot at landing Sesay in large part to edge coach Nick Williams.
Back when Williams was at Syracuse, he recruited Sesay and made him an offer in January of 2025. When FSU offered Sesay in December, it came the day before Williams was hired. He was vital in getting Sesay on campus over the weekend.
"Coach Nick actually gave me my first offer while he was at Syracuse. So just being able to see him believing in me, it was really a goal of mine to get down to Florida State and see what he was about," Sesay said. "He's been trying ever since he got to Florida State and we finally made it happen."
During his inaugural visit to see the Seminoles, Sesay was able to spend significant time with head coach Mike Norvell. His message to the Downingtown East High School star was very profound.
"Really just what it means to be a Florida State Seminole," Sesay said. "Having the best fit. He loves it there and saying his willingness to stay there, and how he sees me fit and how he wants to coach me."
Sesay will visit LSU, Miami, and Notre Dame in April. He also has official visits locked in with Notre Dame and Duke. In regards to Florida State getting an official visit, Sesay mentioned he'd love to make that happen, and he plans to make his decision after his official trips are over.
During his junior season, Sesay was a big-time performer. He ended up with over 80 tackles and recorded 13 sacks.
The 247Sports composite rankings have Sesay listed as the No. 63 recruit and the No. 8 edge in the nation. They have also deemed him the No. 3 prospect in Pennsylvania.
