In a major coaching move, North College Hill has hired Taft head football coach Tyler Williams as its new head football coach.
At Taft, he was 52-12 overall, including an 11-1 record in 2025. He led the team to its first-ever regional championship in 2024.
Before joining Taft, he coached at Colerain and St. Xavier. While serving as offensive coordinator at Colerain, he was able to win Greater Miami Conference (GMC) championships. At St. Xavier, he also was able to win Greater Catholic League (GCL) titles.
Williams is a 2011 Colerain graduate, rushing for 3,815 yards (making him the school's all-time career rushing leader) and 48 touchdowns (making him the all-time career touchdown leader). He helped the Cardinals to three GMC championships and a 30-5 team record.
Williams will meet with the team next week. The Enquirer has reached out to him for comment.
Williams succeeds Greg Conwell, who was the Southwest District Division V Coach of the Year and MVC-Gray Coach of the Year this past season. NCH had an 8-3 record in 2025.
The Taft administration commented on the move on its official X account, saying "Taft fans and (supporters), Taft would like to thank Coach Tyler Williams for his leadership, dedication, and commitment to Taft Football and our community. His impact on our student-athletes extends far beyond the field, and his contributions will remain a part of Taft’s legacy for years to come. We are truly grateful for everything he has done for our program and wish him nothing but success in his next chapter. As we turn the page, the search for our next Head Football Coach has officially begun."
