Northwestern wide receiver Griffin Wilde continues to receive recognition heading into the 2026 season, earning a spot on the Senior Bowl's Top 300 list among the nation's top draft-eligible wide receiver prospects.

The Senior Bowl's Top 300 highlights prospects who have separated themselves as some of the top NFL Draft-eligible talent in college football heading into the season.

For Wilde, earning a spot on the list is another indication that NFL evaluators are beginning to take notice of what he could become at the next level. Wilde enters the season after an impressive first year at Northwestern.

The senior started all 13 games in 2025 and recorded 71 receptions for 880 yards and eight touchdowns, earning third-team All-Big Ten honors.

His 880 receiving yards were the most by a Northwestern player during the David Braun era and the most by a Wildcat since Austin Carr's 1,247-yard season in 2016.

Wilde also finished his season with a memorable performance in the GameAbove Sports Bowl, catching 10 passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns to earn MVP honors.

Now, he has an opportunity to build on that production in a completely different offensive environment.

Chip Kelly takes over as Northwestern's offensive coordinator in 2026, giving Wilde an experienced offensive mind who could find even more ways to get the senior receiver involved.

Kelly's creativity and willingness to move players around could allow Wilde to become an even bigger part of the Wildcats' passing game.

The development of Wilde's connection with the quarterback will also be important.

Aidan Chiles is competing for Northwestern's starting quarterback job, and if he ultimately earns the role, building chemistry with Wilde could become one of the biggest storylines surrounding the Wildcats' offense.

Chiles brings a different skill set to the position, while Wilde has already proven he can consistently produce against Big Ten competition.

If Wilde can approach or surpass his 2025 production while helping Northwestern win games, his NFL outlook could continue to rise.

At 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, Wilde has the size, production and experience to give NFL teams plenty to evaluate.

The Senior Bowl recognition is another step in that process.

Wilde has already established himself as one of Northwestern's most important offensive players. Now, he has the opportunity to show that his breakout 2025 season was not a one-year jump, but the beginning of a career that could eventually lead him to the NFL.
