The pastor previously apologized for platforming the life guru after her degrees and academic credentials came into question over the last few months.

Pastor Jamal Bryant is once more speaking out against Dr. Cheyenne Bryant, less than a month after apologizing for platforming the lifestyle guru. After her academic and professional credentials came under scrutiny, she then participated in the Netflix documentary trend on social media, setting off a new whirlwind of comments.

The Atlanta pastor has had enough.

“I shouldn’t even have to do this,” he began. “This is ridiculous.”

Bryant went on to cite his sister, a former president of the American Psychological Association, as a reason to address his issue with Dr. Cheyenne, even revealing that he had received a cease-and-desist from her. However, it wasn’t until he received an e-mail from Dr. Jaquel Pitts, who claimed to represent Indiana Southwest Christian University as its President, that he felt the need to address the situation with Dr. Cheyenne once and for all.

As Bryant noted in his video, Indiana Southwest Christian University does not exist as the nearest Southwest Christian University is located in Oklahoma. The website linked in Pitts’ e-mail leads to a one-sheet page stating that it offers courses in several programs, including “theocentric psychology,” a theory founded by Dr. Paul Leon Masters, who preached “living a God-centered life.”

For the record, the University of Metaphysics, for which “theocentric psychology” is among the main subjects, is not an accredited university, as “there is no federally recognized accreditation agency for metaphysical degrees.” Additionally, “accreditation is not yet available for institutions that are purely spiritual or religious.”

Although he did not dismiss Pitts as someone using both him and Dr. Cheyenne to secure attention on social media, considering that content from Indiana Southwest’s website is similar to that of another “school” Pitts was associated with in Florida Southwest Christian University, the Atlanta pastor did state that even Pitts could not provide transcripts showing that Dr. Cheyenne attended the school.

“I’m not going back and forth with y’all,” Bryant said. “Let’s shut the case on Dr. Cheynne Bryant. The only robes I want to see people in are the 500 kids who want to go to Howard, an accredited school.”
