Notre Dame alum Tyler Stockton is going to become a coach on staff at rival Michigan.
Stockton is leaving Boise State, where he was co-defensive coordinator, to be the safeties coach for the Wolverines.
Stockton has also worked as the defensive coordinator at Ball State and as the DC at Western Illinois. He also coached safeties at Boise State, which is where he's worked these past two years.
Stockton played defensive line for Notre Dame from 2009-2013. He played in six games as an undergrad, recording just one tackle — a sack. He appeared in 11 games and had three tackles as a graduate student in 2013.
New Michigan head coach Kyle Wittingham has some rebuilding to do following the scandalous exit of Sherron Moore, and Stockton appears to be part of that.
