Undefeated 3-0 Notre Dame, who is No. 3 in the latest US LBM Coaches and Associated Press polls, will continue its season as it travels to Purdue on Saturday.

The Fighting Irish are set to face redshirt junior quarterback Ryan Browne, who’s been with the Boilermakers for four years. He’s started in each of Purdue’s 12 games last season (2-10 overall record). Browne has completed 199-of-338 of his passes (58.9%) for 2,153 yards, nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions. On the ground, he’s carried the ball 66 times for 206 yards and four scores.

The redshirt-junior is making his second career start against Notre Dame in as many years. In the Boilermakers’ 56-30 loss to the Irish last year, Browne was 21-of-34 for a TD and an INT.

Browne is 74-of-101 (73.3%) on completions for 1,024 yards, seven TDs, an interception and a QB rate of 179.3. In a 52-38 loss to UCLA last week, Browne was 19-of-30 for 378 yards, three TDs and an interception.

Purdue (1-2) has lost two in a row after it beat Indiana State, 44-19, in its season opener on Sept. 4.
