Sometimes it’s better to have more than one or two options… so use the triple option.

BRADY QUINN AND THE TRANSFER PORTAL

Former Notre Dame quarterback, Brady Quinn, bleeds blue and gold. The Dublin, Ohio, native has been one of the most popular faces of Notre Dame football over the last two decades, and has represented Notre Dame well in his various roles with the media. Recently he was asked about the transfer portal and what he might have done if the portal was in place after Ty Willingham was fired. It’s about as honest of an answer that you’re going to hear.

STAYED HOME FOR DINNER

Notre Dame defensive lineman, Armel Mukam, entered the transfer portal during the offseason. Mukam had barely played in South Bend and was looking for a fresh start. Notre Dame, however, made sure to re-recruit Mukam as their own need for defensive linemen increased during the offseason. In the end, Armel chose to stay at Notre Dame and through spring and summer — it looks like it might be paying off for him and the Irish.

JOINED A GROUP

Notre Dame did a fantastic job in the transfer portal by grabbing Ohio State wide receivers, Quincy Porter and Mylan Graham. And yet… it’s Jaden Greenhouse, Micah Gilbert, and a pair of lacrosse bros in Jordan Faison and Matt Jeffery that have made the most noise at WR so far this fall camp.

THE NFL TRANSFER PORTAL

We have entered an entirely new wold with college football, and the legal cases along the way are reshaping much of what may happen this season. Recently, a judge ordered that 15 players that have entered NFL training camps as rookies, may return to college football this season and use the transfer portal to find a new home. Former Notre Dame defensive lineman, Junior Tuihalamaka, is among those listed. Seeing as he is a part of THIS particular lawsuit, Irish fans should expect him to play elsewhere in 2026.
