Notre Dame football offers Tennessee target, in-state wide receiver

2028 four-star wide receiver Maximus Curry received a scholarship offer from Notre Dame on Tuesday.

"After a great conversation with coach (Shaun) Shivers, I am blessed to receive an offer from the University of Notre Dame," Curry announced.

The 5-foot-9, 171-pound wide receiver is from Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, Tennessee. He is ranked as the No. 6 overall in-state 2028 prospect, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Tennessee offered Curry a scholarship on June 1, 2025 after attending a school camp. He unofficially visited for the Tennessee-Oklahoma football game at Neyland Stadium on Nov. 1, 2025.

Curry also unofficially visited Tennessee for a spring practice on March 31 and May 30 for Big Orange BBQ.

He has scholarship offers from Tennessee, Notre Dame, Virginia, Duke, Boston College, Northwestern, Washington, Arkansas, Nebraska, Indiana, Texas A&M, Missouri, Colorado, North Carolina, Mississippi State, Florida, Alabama, Miami, Memphis, Auburn, West Virginia, Louisville, BYU, Iowa, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Colorado State and Ole Miss.
