While EA Sports NCAA College Football 2027 has been out for some time, their team has been constantly updating the rankings and it looks like Notre Dame has some of the top true freshman in the game.

The 2026 recruiting class for the Irish was one of their best ever, ranking among the top groups in the country. EA Sports apparently agrees, as it ranks cornerback Khary Adams (82), edge Rodney Dunham (81) and safety Joey O’Brien (81) as three of its top-10 true freshman defenders. All three were viewed as 5-stars entering Notre Dame’s program.

Not to be outshined by the defense, the Irish offense also placed three on the top-10. Running back Javian Osborne led the charge ranked at 82, followed by tight end Ian Premer (81) and running back Jonaz Walton (81). The six total players is by far the most in the game for one team, as USC placed three, while Texas A&M and Michigan each had two.

This is fantastic news for dynasty players, as true freshman ranked in the 80’s typically become stars after a few years. Holding into them will be tough, but it will be fun inserting these players into the lineup and watching them grow into superstars.
